Build and Move Robot August 12th 2015

Outline

1. Take quiz.
2. Collect paperwork and fees.
3. Review quiz.
4. Complete a team building exercise. The students will take turns describing a picture to the rest of the team.  We'll see how well the team can recreate the picture. It's a difficult task to describe verbally how to draw a picture just like it's a difficult task to program a set of instructions to get the robot to complete a task.

5. Build the robot as described in Chapter 2 of the EV3 Discovery Book.
6. Let the kids run a basic program to move their newly built robots.  Move forward 3 rotations, say "Fantastic", flash orange light 5 secs, flash green light 5 secs, flash red light 5 secs, say "Forward" and move forward 3 rotations, say "Backward" and move backward 3 rotations.
